About the NASW-CT Annual Conference
The NASW-CT Annual Conference is the must-attend event of the year for Connecticut social workers, mental health practitioners and students. We proudly continue our tradition of hosting Connecticut’s largest gathering which brings together hundreds of participants from across Connecticut and surrounding states for a day of learning and networking. Our conference planning committee is excited to offer a full day in-person conference with selected speakers and presenters to cover a broad array of clinical and systemic issues that face our clients, communities and our profession.
The NASW-CT Chapter proudly supports the March Social Work theme each year at our conference. We are excited to announce this year's theme will be "Social Work: Compassion + Action." Social workers play a critical role in addressing pressing issues such as clinical practice best practices, inequality, the criminalization of homelessness, our nation's mental health and substance use disorder crisis, and reproductive rights. We will focus on topics that embrace this year's theme as well as provide needed cultural competency and veteran's credits. We look forward to your participation in the NASW-CT 38th Annual Conference this year.

The Connecticut Council on Adoption is excited to invite our entire membership to our free training on Understanding the Grief and Magical Thinking of Abandonment in the Minds of Children and Adolescents touched by Adoption and Foster Care with presenter Ruth Pearlman, MEd LICSW.
This forum will be both a follow up and a continuation of our exploration of grief experienced by youth touched by foster care. Ruth joined us in 2023 for a wonderful discussion of the grief and sensory issues experienced by our youth. This forum will review that information as well as add the concept of "Magical Thinking" into our knowledge base. This workshop will explore ways in which we can counter these false beliefs and restore children's sense of self-worth.
If you would like to attend this event and are not a member, sign up is available through our website. If you have questions regarding your membership, please email us a membership@ctadopt.org. Join CCA today!
